Conventional Symbols

1. Capilano Honey Bee.

Using the figure of a superhero the honey portrays the image of being strong and superhuman (superior) rather than human (normal) or in this case bee like :P

2. International Roast Coffee

Using the Little Crown on its packaging, makes the coffee 'royal' again superior to it's competition making all others 'peasant' like as there can only be one at the top.

3. Horses with Cars.

Horses can be seen with the likes of ferrari, porche and also with the Ford Mustang series.

The horse even though slower than these cars is seen as an animal with beauty, power, and class all rolled up into one. thus it does not matter if it slower.

4. Paramount Mountain

Using the mountain metaphoricaly as showing it is the pinacle of blockbuster movies.

5. Pink for Girls and Blue for Boys.

This can also be classified under the symbols that have changed as I found out that initially red/pink was seen as the masculine colour and blue (because of the virgin mary) was seen as a more feminine colour. It was not until WW2 when men started wearing blue uniforms had this notion changed and pink was pushed as the feminine colour.
